When you engage TRY, you give a disadvantaged young person an opportunity to get a step up in life. They gain real work experience, access to a variety of further training and career pathways through TRY’s other social enterprises.

Making a meaningful difference

TRY Clean and Property Maintenance create entry level training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people who have faced barriers to education or long term employment. With the help of a great team of supervisory staff we offer a professional, high quality cleaning and property maintenance service.

By creating meaningful employment, TRY gives our trainees a safe environment to build their skills and confidence. Under supervision, they learn important work skills while they are also mentored to make personal goals and achieve them.

We support them to transition into either further employment they may aspire to or further study. We receive referrals from Disability Employment services, Job Active Providers, Housing Associations, Local Learning & Employment Networks, Community & Neighbourhood Houses, Mental health service providers.

After our first 12 months in operation our retention rate is 90%.

We are currently looking to expand our services in the south-eastern corridor. If you interested in our program, Social Enterprises Operations and Development Manager

in its truest sense,
means a state of intense, whole-hearted mental engagement.
It is characterised by sustained concentration and committed striving.

Of course when you try, you ensure the chances of accomplishing your goal.
You also learn to respond to challenges with
confidence and optimism.

This is what our founder WM Forster meant when he said,
“ Try and you will succeed.”
